Population about 974,989 with about 145,552.43 Square Miles of land mass. Which from what I have read is about 6 persons per square mile.
Montana makes it money from Ranching, Wheat Farming, Construction, Mining, Timber and Tourism. I live about 3 hours from Glacier National Park about 4 hours from Yellowstone in one of the most beautiful states. Our winters close roads and have been known to render some snowbound for several days or sometimes even weeks. Winters can be brutal and have been known to start as early as September and continue through May. Dark from about 4pm to 8 am. Makes the though of a nice hot coco and warm blanket with a book so wonderful.
Soon the Ranchers will be calving and once that is over maybe we can start looking towards spring.

I have been watching for a while and noticing that so many people are quick to ask a question that has already been answered in a message, that if they really took the time to read the message would have answered their questions in the first place. I have also noticed that there are more videos being used for news than the written word. I personally would rather read the information than have someone talk it at me but it seems to be the coming trend. I realize we get so many emails a day that skimming is a quick answer to the situation, I personally get over 2000 emails a day both business, personal and yahoo groups, and find myself skimming to check them. I try when I need to email them back and not ask a silly questions and take more of their time than I should by not reading fully the information that they first sent me.
I recently started a Machine Embroidery Design give away called “Quilt Block Friday” in stating the rules for this on the group I found myself repeating the same information for numerous posts and wondering again… did anyone really read this? In one case my original post was quoted and the question that was asked could have been answered if the sender had just read the message that they quoted. Amazing.
Anyway just my take on a situation.

Montana is one of the most beautiful places I have ever lived and probably one of the most diverse in temperature I have ever encountered. We have the winds the Native Americans call Chinooks that can take the winter temperature from zero to 60 in such a short time, but with these warming winds come very strong gust . Chinook is claimed to mean “eater” or I have also heard it called “Snow eater”. A strong Chinook can make one foot of snow disappear over night.
