đą New Story Alert: The Cat Who Outsmarted Avalon
Hello, darlings!
Mabs here. Yes, I’m hijacking this announcement because frankly, no one tells my story better than me.
Remember when I arrived in Forks and had to deal with one sparkly, melodramatic vampire who thought he owned Bella Swan? Well, that was just the beginning.
What’s This Story About?
The Cat Who Outsmarted Avalon picks up where Cats Don’t Care About Vampires left off. Bella’s discovered she’s not just a shield, she’s a dual-heritage witch with powers from both her parents’ bloodlines. Which should be celebrated, right?
Wrong.
Edward Cullen sees her magic as something to manage, control, and protect her from. Meanwhile, Jasper Whitlock (that’s Cowboy Delicious to me) makes her feel powerful, alive, and free. Their gifts harmonize perfectly, creating literal magical auroras. But they’re both too careful, too scared, too convinced they don’t deserve good things.
I didn’t spend five centuries with Morgan le Fay learning the art of strategic intervention just to watch these two dance around each other while Edward hovers like a territorial ghost.
What You’ll Get in This Story:
⨠22,000+ words of magical mayhem across 5 chapters plus prologue and epilogue
đŠī¸ Conjured hurricanes (I’m not subtle when I meddle)
đģ Fake visions that send certain vampires on wild goose chases
đ Magical imprisonment (for their own good, obviously)
đ Pink and purple auroras when shield magic meets empathy
đĨ Epic confrontations where I telepathically destroy Edward’s ego
đ The kiss scene you’ve been waiting for (it was worth the build-up, trust me)
đ Camelot flashbacks and why I left Morgan le Fay
â ī¸ Foreshadowing of threats to come (Maria’s not happy, and Edward’s not done)
Why This Story is Special:
This isn’t just a romance. It’s about:
-
Choosing yourself over what others expect
-
True magical compatibility vs. possessive obsession
-
Found family that supports your power instead of fearing it
-
One very smug cat making sure love wins over control
I’ve written this story from multiple POVs (mine, Bella’s, and Jasper’s), giving you the full picture of how two broken souls find their rhythm. Plus, my sarcastic commentary throughout makes even the dramatic moments entertaining.

What’s Next?
Oh, I’m not done with these two. Edward’s plotting something. Maria’s stirring in the South. And I may have mentioned to Morgan that old Camelot allies might be useful soon…
But that’s a story for another day.
For now, enjoy watching me orchestrate the downfall of one possessive vampire and the rise of a relationship that actually deserves the word “love.”
How to Read:
The complete story is posted in PDF form in the members section at windwoman.com. Start with the Prologue and work your way through.
Content notes: Canon-typical violence mentions (Jasper’s past with Maria), emotional manipulation (Edward’s behavior), steamy romantic tension (that kiss though), and one cat’s unfiltered opinions about everything.
Love’s a messy spell. But darling, I’m very good at messy.

P.S. Yes, there will be a sequel. No, I’m not telling you the title yet. Where’s the fun in that?
