Halloween has supplied its own atmosphere this morning, with fog outside and that lovely fall feeling that makes staying home with a warm drink and a head full of stories seem like an excellent plan. First Snow Storm

On Friday, it was nearly 79 degrees. Today, it’s about 31, and our first snow of the season has already left eight inches on the ground. The storm advisory lasts until six Monday morning, so I suspect the view from my sunroom will look different again by the time I wake up tomorrow. Shadow, our year-old puppy, is convinced all this snow arrived just for her. We can hardly keep her in the house; every time she comes in, she’s ready to turn around and race back out through it.
